By ALANAH ERIKSEN

Looking glum: Amy Childs arrived at her salon in Brentwood, Essex, today after it was announced her reality show had been cancelled after one season

She started her career as a beautician, and Amy Childs has gone back to her roots.
The 21-year-old emerged for the first time today, a day after it was announced her reality show had been axed after just one season.
The redhead looked glum as she exited her white Range Rover and walked into Amy Childs' Salon in Brentwood, Essex.
She had her head down as she fumbled with her car keys and cellphone.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star looked the part in her bright purple uniform with black stockings and towering black heels.
She added a diamante choker necklace and a black purse to the ensemble.

She wrote about the Channel 5 snub last night: 'Thank you for all your amazing support for #itsallaboutamy xxxx.'
Earlier, she said: 'My last show tonight #itsallaboutamy, had so much fun filming it, lots more tv work coming up soon ;) xxxx'
The show struggled to pull in viewers during the eight-episode broadcast, opening with 506,000 viewers and falling to 300,000.

And Amy won't be returning to TOWIE, when the fourth season starts airing from Sunday, with the returning characters already announced.
A source told The Mirror: 'The fly-on-the-wall format didn’t really work because there wasn’t a lot going on.

The show initially began airing at 10pm, but later shifted to an 11pm slot.
Childs was the first to break free from Bafta-winning TOWIE, with cousin
Harry Derbidge eventually axed for repeatedly appearing in Amy’s spin-off show, and Kirk Norcross quit to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.
Mark Wright also cut the apron strings to feature on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and now presents on Take Me Out spin-off, The Gossip.
Peri Sinclair, Maria Fowler and Mick Norcross have also left the show.
